- Description
- The anomalous magnetic moment of the muon has been measured with a very high precision. However, there exists a discrepancy between the experimental result and the value predicted by the Standard Model of particle physics. This deviation is considered as an evidence for physics beyond the Standard Model and can be explained by supersymmetric extensions under certain constraints. My diploma thesis presents the calculation of additional contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment, which are generated in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model for tan beta= infinity at one-loop level. Furthermore, the parameter regions in which the examined scenario is capable of explaining the difference between measurement and Standard Model prediction are identified.
