Description
We introduce the concept of relative entropy for in the framework of weak solutions to the Navier-Stokes-Fourier system of equations describing the motion of a general compressible, viscous and heat conducting fluid. We show how relative entropies can be used when investigating the problem of weak-strong uniqueness, long-time behavior, and various singular limits for the problem.
