- Hybrid materials of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and polymers have gained interest as processible composites that might be suitable for a wide range of applications. Several approaches have been pursued to create MOF-polymer composites, including mixed-matrix membranes (MMMs) prepared with MOFs, polymer-decorated MOF particles, and MOFs constructed from polymer building blocks referred to as polyMOFs. The design, synthesis, and unusual properties of these MOF-polymer composite materials will be presented and discussed.
