AI infrastructures and systems: What technical requirements are spurring progress? AI is inspiring with rapid technological progress worldwide. In order to not only keep up with the international competition, but to take a leading position, local research institutions and companies need appropriate infrastructures and systems. Distributed data poses new challenges: Today, data is often generated at a great geographical distance from the computer systems that later process it, for example in laboratories or experimental halls. We would like to talk to you about your experiences, requirements and challenges in order to improve the data analysis and training of AI models under these conditions. Language models: powerful technology as an everyday companion Since the release of ChatGPT at the latest, language models have become accessible to the general public. Young and old alike have enthusiastically tried out themselves what AI can do for us: researching, formulating texts or even coding. As part of the AI networking event, we want to discuss the use and accessibility of language models with you. We will scrutinize the impact of this exciting technological development on society as a whole and discuss the requirements of science and industry. In addition to exciting presentations, the event will also offer two thematic tracks in the areas of language models and AI infrastructures and systems in the afternoon.
