- Description
- The growing demand in industry to control and optimize high temperature processes (well above 300 °C) led to an intense research on the fabrication of sensors working under these conditions. To realize such a device, high temperature stable substrates as well as materials or material systems are required which withstand these harsh conditions so that no failures of the device due to high temperature processes like oxidation and agglomeration will take place. This talk presents the development and characterization of RuAl thin films on high temperature stable piezoelectric substrates as an alternative system to noble metal (mainly Pt) based materials described in literature with their disadvantage of high costs.
