- Description
- The ultraproduct construction was discovered independently by logicians and operator algebraists. Although possibly the most abstract construction of a limit in mathematics, the construction itself is not too complicated and it is surprisingly flexible. I will introduce ultraproducts and discuss some of their applications, classical and recent.
