- Description
- Interaction-driven topological phases significantly enrich the class of topological materials. In this talk I discuss the effect of disorder on the weak-coupling instabilities of the quadratic band crossing point (QBCP) in two-dimensional Fermi systems, which, in the clean limit, display interaction-driven topological insulating phases. After considering possible instabilities and corresponding ordered phases I will show that the disorder generally suppresses the critical temperature at which the interaction-driven topologically non-trivial order sets in. Moreover, strong disorder can also cause a topological phase transition into a topologically trivial insulating state. Based on Physical Review B 96 (20), 201104 (2017).
