ame: MPI-PKS (Seminarroom 1+2)\n Street: Nöthnitzer Straße 38\n City:

t development of topological insulator states for photons1–3 has led to
an exciting new field of “topological photonics\,” which has as a cent
ral goal the development of extremely robust photonic devices4. Topologica
l insulator physics has been studied extensively in condensed matter5 and
cold atoms6. However\, photonic systems offer the possibility of non-Hermi
tian effects through the engineering of optical gain and loss\, which open
s an entire new field of physics. In this talk\, we will discuss our recen
t experimental work on non-Hermitian topological phenomena in coupled latt
ice systems\, in particular the first demonstration of non-hermitian PT-sy
 mmetric topological interface state. References [1] Haldane\, F. D. M. &
