GESCHICHTEN VON SORBEN UND SACHSEN IM VOLKSKUNSTMUSEUM

In Sachsen gibt es eine Viel­falt von lo­ka­len und regio­na­len Tra­di­tio­nen, Dia­lek­ten und kuli­na­ri­schen Be­son­der­hei­ten. Be­son­ders das Kunst­hand­werk gibt einen Ein­blick in den All­tag der Men­schen, die hier leb­ten und le­ben. Am Sonn­tag, 27. Mai 2018, könnt ihr bei einer Füh­rung im Muse­um für Säch­si­sche Volks­kunst alle an einem Ort kennen­lernen: be­zau­bern­de Schnitze­rei­en aus dem Erz­gebir­ge, farben­frohe Texti­lien aus der Lau­sitz, pracht­volle Trach­ten der Sor­ben und virtu­ose Spitzen aus dem Vogt­land – dazu bemal­te Möbel, reich ver­zier­te Ke­ra­mik und eine un­ge­wöhn­lich viel­fäl­ti­ge Samm­lung histo­ri­schen Spiel­zeugs. Nach dem Museums­besuch haben wir Zeit für einen Kaffee­klatsch über neue und alte Tradi­tio­nen in unseren Län­dern.

Eigenanteil: 4 Euro (vor der Veranstaltung im Kulturbüro bezahlen)

Im Preis enthalten:
- Eintritt und Führung im Museum für Sächsische Volkskunst
- gemeinsames Kaffeetrinken

SAXON AND SORBIAN TRADITIONS AT THE MUSEUM OF SAXON FOLK ART

Saxony is a diverse region with many local traditions, languages and of course culinary treats. Handcrafts give a very special insight in the everyday life of local people in the past and present. On Sunday, May 27th, you can get to know a lot of them in just one place, on a guided tour to the museum of Saxon folk art: enchanting carved objects from the Ore Mountains (not only nutcrackers!) and embroidered woven textiles from Lusatia, lavish Sorb costumes and intricate lace from the Vogtland region, painted fur­ni­ture , richly decorated ceramics and an unusually diverse collection of historic toys. After the visit tot he museum we can have a chat around German „Kaffee und Kuchen“ about new and old traditions in our home countries.

Fee: 4 Euros (pay at the Cultural Office before the event)

- entrance fee and guided tour of the museum of Saxon folk art
- German “Kaffe und Kuchen” at a nearby café
