- Description
- This is a preliminary version of a book on Lipschitz functions. The book contains classical results on Lipschitz functions, but some recent results are included as well. The headings of the chapters are the following. 1. Prerequisites. 2. Basic facts concerning Lipschitz functions. 3. Relations with other classes of functions. 4. Lipschitz isomorphisms of metric spaces. 5. Extension results for Lipschitz mappings. 6. Selected extension results for Lipschitz mappings in geodesic metric spaces. 7. Approximations involving Lipschitz functions. 8. Banach spaces of Lipschitz functions. The standard reference for spaces of Lipschitz functions is the book: [1] N. Weaver, Lipschitz algebras, World Scienti_c Publishing Co., Inc., River Edge, NJ, 1999. We tried to keep the superposition with this book at an inevitable minimum, so our book can be viewed complementary to [1].
