- Beschreibung
- The aim of this course is to introduce some methods which give insight on the behaviour of the "heat kernel", focusing on the case of random walks on countable groups. As time permits, I will describe some estimates which come from the study of related quantities (entropy), discuss the relation to isoperimetry and functional inequalities, asymptotic behaviour of the random walk, ... Many open questions will be mentioned on the way.
