  Gutzwiller's scientific interests and contributions span a wide range of 
 fields and topics\, from quantum condensed matter theory to classical chao
 s and celestial mechanics.    He was closely linked to the MPIPKS and gave
  his name to a fellowship the institute has been awarding annually since 2
 000. We gratefully look back to all these years and would like to honor hi
 m and his research with this workshop after he sadly passed away last year
 .    The workshop will bring together close colleagues and researchers who
  have followed Martin Gutzwiller through his scientific universe. We will 
 have the opportunity to remember him and his ideas - and we will see and d
 iscuss to which new frontiers these ideas have taken us to date.
