 nstein Telescope will be a ground-based gravitational-wave observatory of 
 the 3rd generation promising substantial advances in astrophysics and cosm
 ology. This presentation will give an overview about the phenomena which w
 ill be studied by the telescope and the questions which will be answered b
 ased on the observations. Furthermore\, the current status of the site sel
 ection procedure will be presented. As Saxony is one of the three candidat
 e regions\, the TUD and especially the IKTP are contributing to this proce
 ss by performing feasibility studies. </p>
