- Intellectual property rights (IPR) are important factors in our modern innovation-driven economy. The technological value added can be secured by IPRs. The seminar will give an overview on IPRs that may arise from research and development activities of startup companies or academic institutions, but also from private persons or industrial activities. What are patent, trademark or design rights? How do I know if a technology is patent protected or can become an exclusive asset? Software, artificial intelligence and the metaverse are addressed. What are my obligations as student, inventor, employee, employer, or entrepreneur? Those questions will be addressed and dos and don'ts for inventors discussed.
