re the interplay between quantum geometry\, interactions\, and external fi
elds in complex band systems. When Wannier obstructions prevent a descript
ion based solely on atomic-like orbitals\, it complicates the prediction o
f electromagnetic responses\, particularly in the presence of disorder and
interactions. To address this\, we introduce a generalized Peierls substi
tution framework that incorporates Lagrange multipliers to enforce the con
straints of Wannier obstruction in the band of interest. This framework en
ables us to derive effective descriptions of interactions and disorder\, a
ccounting for the non-trivial quantum geometry of the band. We apply this
approach to various examples\, including the diamagnetic response in flat-
band superconductors and interaction-induced delocalization effects in fla
 t-band metals. .
