SUMMARY:Sedzinski: Cell Fate and Mechanics of Developing Mucociliary Epithe
 lium
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Jakub Sedzinski\nInstitute of Speaker: University of C
 openhagen\nTopics:\n\n Location:\n Name: MPI-CBG (MPI-CBG Auditorium (big
  half))\n Street: Pfotenhauerstraße 108\n City: 01307 Dresden\n Phone:

elopment\, unspecialized cell masses are transformed into complex tissues
and organs through coordinated movements and interactions\, driven by morp
hogenesis and cell fate acquisition. This study aims to elucidate how thes
e processes are coordinated in space and time using the Xenopus mucociliar
y epithelium as a model. We will first provide an overview of the dynamics
of cell fate acquisition\, followed by an examination of the morphogeneti
c processes that accompany these fate decisions. Finally\, we aim to devel
op a predictive model of cell fate acquisition by linking cellular behavio
r with cell fate decisions. This research will advance our understanding o
f the intricate relationship between cell fate and tissue morphogenesis\,
offering insights into the fundamental principles of tissue formation.
