Beschreibung

Hybrid metal composite structures offer high potential in lightweight construction. They combine different materials, which are superior to classic structures in terms of strength, stiffness and weight. However, the development and manufacture of such components are very complex. On a prototype scale, such hybrid structures have already been successfully designed, manufactured, and tested. But the transfer to industrial applications is currently still a challenge. The multitude of adjustable and interacting parameters in the areas of design, dimensioning, manufacturing and quality assurance leads to a complex and multidisciplinary development, validation and manufacturing process. The aim of this innovation workshop, which takes place as part of the NDT4INDUSTRY seminar series, is to present current development results of the joint research project "robust evp 4.0“ in the fields development process of hybrid structures, manufacturing and non-destructive testing (NDT) and to discuss in small groups about necessary steps for the introduction of this technologies. The event is organized by the project partners Fraunhofer IKTS and the Institute for Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology at TU Dresden.
