Assembling matter at all scales - from simple molecules to mighty materials
On 11 and 12 May the Max Bergmann Symposium 2020 with top-class scientists will take place. The aim of the event is to offer an interdisciplinary perspective on the self-assembly and self-organisation of molecules. The central topics are: 1. artificial systems: Assembly of synthetic molecules to well-defined nanostructures and supramolecular polymer materials. 2. biological systems: self-assembly in model organisms from fields 3. inspiration from nature: application of the lessons of biological self-assembly and self-organisation to create biomimetic systems. 4. technological applications: Translation towards intelligent nanomaterials and molecular machines with programmable functions.
