- Homogeneous structures are countably infinite structures that satisfy the strong symmetry condition of having every isomorphism between finite substructures induced by an automorphism. Gregory Cherlin has produced a classification of metrically homogeneous graphs, conjectured to be complete. It is known that the class of finite structures embeddable in a homogeneous structure can often be extended to a class with the Ramsey property; we present a recent approach to proving the Ramsey and other related properties (EPPA, existence of a stationary independence relation) that can be applied to Cherlin's catalogue and has some potential for more general application.
